Charles Lee HALLETT
I returned to college in Winter 2024 at age 66 to elevate my "side-hustle" in media sales to a more polished professional effort. My goals are to acquire modern skills, network with resources, and put credentials around my experience. I also wanted to advance my abilities in video production and photography. This is a collection of my better work as I progress through the program. -Dec. 8, 2024
Autumn 2024
Commercial Art & Graphic Design
This is a CD cover I designed for a fictitious band called NATIV. The assignment was to combine photography, graphic design, topography, and style. I chose a black and white theme because the lack of color communicated more of the indigenous feeling. The back cover features another photo effect and layout.
These are two logo designs I created. Logo design is a very specialized and important task requiring strong graphic art skills. I have a few more below.
The music festival project also served as our final exam. The intension was to pull all the elements of the class together in one unified promotional campaign. These are the handbills.
Here's the souvenier hat and tee-shirt design so you don't forget your experience at the festival.
This is a collection of logos I made over the course of the project.
I made a Press Release to promote my music festival.
Summer 2024
Solar System Astronomy
Solar System Atronomy was a fun and interesting natural science course. I took it over the Summer so I could focus on it. The most surprising thing I learned was the number of scientific disciplines come into play when studying the skies. Properties of light, interpretation of spectra, physics, geology, and earth tectonics are just a few. I was asked to create and publish a video as part of the class. I give you - Dr. Carl Sagan

Spring 2024
*NOTE - This is a draft of design I submitted with the Northeast State logo and is not approved for distribution.
I'm passionate about voting, and especially wanted to help with a voter registration drive for 2024 as a community service effort. This is the front and back design of a postcard sized handbill I proposed to produce.
